Written Contract for Undertaking Management of "Mashike-basho"

@"Mashike-basho" was the trade zone owned by the chief retainer of the Matsumae clan, Shimonokuni, and the management of it was entrusted to a merchant residing in Matsumae. The deed shows that the merchant, the Murakami family, undertook the management for 310 ryo a year. (Ryo was the standard gold coin of the Tokugawa shogunate.)
