A Clay Mask

@This mask was unearthed from a grave of the Late Jomon period in "Mamachi site", Chitose city. It is conjectured that the mask was hung on a wooden grave marker that stood next to a grave pit.
@The clear-cut mask has a facial feature of an adult man of the Jomon period, namely, the projected brow ridge, straight nose, and protruded lower jaw.
